Duty Drawbacks & Tradex Schemes

At tcf International we have extensive experience in providing tailored customs compliance programs based on ever-changing government regulations and client requirements. We have successfully delivered major cost savings to our clients through the following services:

The Australian Duty Drawback Scheme, administered by Customs and Border Protection assists exporting companies to obtain a refund of duty paid on imported goods that are re-exported in an unused condition, or are treated, processed or incorporated in other goods for export.

Claims for refunds of the duty under the Drawback scheme can be made up to 12 months after the date on which the goods were exported. tcf International's customs department are available to discuss the Drawback scheme with you.

As an alternative to duty Drawback, the Tradex scheme allows for GST and Duty free entry of imported goods, intended for re-export within a 12 month period. The Tradex scheme provides significant cash flow advantages over the drawback scheme.

As an Importer you would be required to register and all records kept well documented as Customs and Border Protection perform periodic audits.

TCF International can get you registered, help you design an efficient record keeping system and assist in any audits that are required.
