DP WORLD AUSTRALIA - UPDATE ON INDUSTRIAL ACTION

TCF has received notification from Freight & Trade Alliance (FTA) and the Australian Peak Shippers Association (APSA) that they have been in contact with DP World senior management in order to update members on the latest on the protected industrial action.

With DP World and the Maritime Union of Australia (MUA) now having concluded 6 days of facilitated bargaining sessions under the watch of the Fair Work Commission (FWC), DP World suggest that while some progress was made, in response to the continued Industrial action DP World has now filed for a cooling-off period of 90 days in the FWC aimed at halting the ongoing action. DP World optimistically suggesting the period would provide an opportunity for further negotiations without further disruptions.

DP World senior management expectation is for the filing to be reviewed by the FWC in a matter of days. The full DP World statement reads as per the attached link.

DP World Australia has received additional Protected Industrial Action notices from the CFMMEU for each of their Australian terminals at the following ports until the 18th of Dec 23.

Brisbane: 04/12/2023 to 18/12/2023
Sydney: 04/12/2023 to 18/12/2023
Melbourne: 04/12/2023 to 18/12/2023
Fremantle: 04/12/2023 to 18/12/2023

Based on the updated dates above, the following will be affected by the planned Protected Industrial Action and we will communicate the confirmed impact separately via our normal channels.

SYDNEY DP WORLD –

• 24 hr stoppage from Sunday 10^th Dec 06:00hrs through to Monday 11^th Dec 06:00hrs
• All receival & delivery stoppage from Monday 11^th Dec 06:00hrs through to Tuesday 12^th Dec 06:00hrs
• All receival & delivery stoppage from Friday 15th Dec 06:00hrs through to Saturday 16^th Dec 06:00hrs

MELBOURNE DP WORLD –

• All receival & delivery stoppage from Friday 15th Dec 06:00hrs through to Saturday 16^th Dec 06:00hrs

BRISBANE DP WORLD –

• All receival & delivery stoppage from Monday 11^th Dec 07:00hrs through to Wednesday 13^th Dec 07:00hrs
