POSSIBLE SHORT NOTICE TRANSPORT FUEL SURCHARGE INCREASES - AUSTRALIA

Due to escalating tensions in the Middle East and reports of disruptions to the Strait of Hormuz, diesel markets are moving quickly.

Several trucking companies and couriers have warned that diesel prices could rise sharply next week in Australia, some have indicated increases of up to $0.50 per litre/day-equivalent and that fuel surcharges may be adjusted on very short notice, possibly multiple times while the situation develops. 

What this means

• Fuel surcharges could rise quickly and with little advance notice. TCF will pass on any increases at cost.
• Any increase will affect trucking rates for affected lanes
