CLIENT ADVISORY - Singapore Transhipment Delays

We would like to advise that shipments transhipping via Singapore are currently experiencing delays due to congestion within carrier transhipment networks.

Whilst vessel arrivals into Singapore remain relatively stable, a backlog of connecting cargo and ongoing network disruptions have resulted in many shipments waiting longer than usual for their onward vessel. This is affecting transit times across a number of Asia-Pacific trade lanes.

COSCO has advised that some shipments are currently experiencing delays of approximately four weeks while awaiting a connecting vessel. Cargo is being allocated on a FIFO (First In, First Out) basis and remains subject to final vessel space and operational requirements.

Please note that actual delays will vary depending on the carrier, service and destination, with some shipments experiencing shorter or longer delays.

At this stage we recommend that customers:

• Allow additional lead time for cargo moving via Singapore.
• Book shipments as early as possible.
• Advise us of any urgent or time-critical cargo so we can investigate alternative routing options where available.
• Continue to monitor shipment tracking, noting that ETAs may remain subject to change until cargo has departed Singapore on its connecting vessel.

We are actively monitoring the situation with all affected carriers and will continue to provide updates as further information becomes available.
