GENERAL RATE INCREASE - USA EAST COAST & GULF TO AUSTRALIA & NEW ZEALAND EFFECTIVE 16th OCTOBER 2017

Please be advised that the Ocean Carriers operating the United States Southbound Direct Services to Australia & New Zealand have announced a Genral Rate Increase (GRI), effective from the 16th of October 2017 (Cargo Received Date). The GRI will be applied to all cargo moving from the East Coast and Gulf Coast only. West Coast Sailings are not effected.

Attached is an example of this notification from Hamburg Sud.

According to the notifications received, the GRI Base rate increase will be as below:

Increase Effective - 16th October 2017:

20' Container - USD 100.00

40' Container - USD 200.00

LCL - USD 4.00 w/m

As we have done previously, TCF and our overseas partners will be monitoring the market situation closely and continuing our efforts to mitigate the FCL GRI level.
