USA BAF/EFAF & ECA/LSS REDUCTION - USA SOUTHBOUND BUNKER & EMISSION CONTROL REDUCTIONS

Hamburg Sud BAF& ECA Reduction Notification

Please be advised that the Ocean Carriers operating the United States & Canada southbound services to Australia & New Zealand have announced a REDUCTION is the Bunker Surcharge (BAF/EFAF) and Emission Control Area (ECA), also known as the Low Sulphur Surcharge (LSS) effective from 15th June 2015.

According to the notification received, the DECREASE will be as below:

BAF/EFAF reduction Effective - 15th June 2015

20' Container - current level USD 515.00 - new level USD 463.00

40' container - current level USD 1030.00 - new level USD 926.00

ECA/LSS reduction Effective - 15th June 2015

20' Container - current level USD 45.00 - new level USD 33.00

40' container - current level USD 90.00 - new level USD 66.00

As we have done previously, TCF and our overseas partners will be monitoring the market situation closely regarding the BAF and ECA surcharges and will advise any adjustments following the next review period in September.
