BRISBANE PORT CLOSURE - VESSEL SUSPENSIONS & TERMINAL UPDATES
TCF International has received the below information this morning from our industry body Freight & Trade Alliance (FTA) regarding the closure of Brisbane Port because of Cyclone Alfred.
Maritime Safety Queensland (MSQ) has suspended inbound vessel arrivals to the Port of Brisbane due to heavy swells, with further updates expected on the evacuation of berthed vessels.
Terminal Operations:
Patrick: Imports operating as normal until the end of the day shift on 4 March. Exports suspended until further notice.
DP World: Imports operating until 2300hrs on 4 March. Exports suspended until further notice.
Hutchison Ports: Imports operating until at least 4 March. Exports suspended from 10 AM today.
AAT: Imports operating until at least 4 March. Exports suspended until further notice.
Empty Container Parks:
Several parks have ceased operations due to safety concerns.
We advise clients to check with service providers for potential supply chain disruptions.
